Pantaloon Backstage
The team workspace for Pantaloon, an independent games publisher.
Pantaloon Backstage is the private, internal web app that the Pantaloon team uses to run the business day to day. It is not a public service: access is by invitation only, for Pantaloon staff and a small number of invited partners such as investors and accountants.
What Backstage is for
- Planning and tracking work — a shared team calendar, project boards and task overviews.
- Seeing how our games are doing — sales, wishlists and revenue for the games Pantaloon publishes, and forecasts for the business.
- Planning and publishing social media content — the Content Control Room, where the team drafts posts for Pantaloon's own channels, reviews and approves them, and publishes approved videos and posts to those channels.
How Backstage uses connected accounts
The Content Control Room can be connected to Pantaloon's own social accounts (YouTube, TikTok, Instagram and Bluesky) by an authorised member of the Pantaloon team. Backstage never connects to accounts that belong to anyone else, and it is not used by the general public.
- YouTube (Google) — when an authorised team member signs in with Google, Backstage asks to upload videos to the Pantaloon channel (the
youtube.uploadpermission) and to read the channel's name (youtube.readonly) so it can confirm it is connected to the right channel. Backstage only uploads videos that the team has reviewed and approved, and uses the access for nothing else. - TikTok — Backstage uses TikTok Login to connect Pantaloon's own account. It posts approved videos with the Content Posting API, and reads the account's profile (bio, verified status, profile link), its statistics (follower, following, like and video counts) and its recent public videos with their view, like, comment and share counts, so the team can see how Pantaloon's content is performing. This is shown only inside Backstage.
- Instagram — Backstage uses Instagram Login to connect Pantaloon's own Professional account. It publishes approved posts, carousels and Reels, and reads the account's username, follower and post counts, and its recent posts with their like and comment counts and the comments on them, so the team can see how Pantaloon's content is performing. This is shown only inside Backstage.
- Bluesky — approved posts are published to the Pantaloon account using an app password.
Backstage's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Connections can be removed at any time. Our Privacy Policy explains exactly what is stored and how.
